DAY 01 : ARRIVE DELHI :
Assistance on arrival.
Transfer to the hotel. India's capital & major gateway to the
country. Its strategic location was one of the prime reasons why
successive dynasties chose it as their seat of power. New Delhi
reflects the legacy the British left behind. The division between
New Delhi & Old Delhi is the distinction between the capitals
of the British and the Mughals respectively. But wherever the visitor
may choose to explore, he will invariably confront the city's post
- reflecting the varied cultures and people who have lived here
down the ages. The throbbing present of the Delhi pulls one out
of reflections on a mute past. Day at leisure. Overnight Delhi.
» DAY 02 : DELHI :
After breakfast gear up for the morning city tour to include Humayun's
Tomb, Bahai Temple, Qutab Minar, India Gate & Mughal gardens
at Rashtrapati Bhawan. Post lunch tour of the historic city of Old
Delhi to include the magnificent Red Fort, the Jama Masjid, India's
largest mosque and Rajghat - memorial to Mahatma Gandhi and the
Delhi Zoo. Evening at the Hauz Khas village, the regional site chosen
by Ala-ud-din-Khilji in 1303 for a Madrasa - a place of learning.

03 : DELHI/GANGABANKS :
Morning drive to Ganga
Banks (5 1/2 hrs.) and check into India's first eco & environment
friendly Ganga Banks resort & beach camp, set in the serenity
of the Himalayan foothills. Post lunch relax by the riverside resort.
Overnight Ganga Banks.
» DAY 04 : FLOAT/RAFT DOWN THE GANGES
:
Post breakfast commence a 14 km. river rafting run from the Marine
drive upto the resort to enjoy a plethore of nature and wildlife
in the Himalayan foothills. Evening fun trek on the leopards trail.
Round off the evening with a beachside bonfire and chota peg. Overnight
Ganga Banks.

DAY 05 : GANGABANKS/CORBETT :
Morning depart for Corbett National park (5 hrs.). Enroute visit
the temple and ghats of Haridwar. Check into your jungle resort.
Corbett National Park lies on the Himalayan foothills spread over
324 sq. kms. A variety of wildlife including tigers, leopards, elephant,
hyenas and deer inhabit the sanctuary. This very attractive park
of valleys, grassland and Sal forest with a backdrop of Himalayan
ranges is characterised as a land of "roar and sonth". Overnight

» DAY 06 : CORBETT :
Morning jeep safari of the park for wildlife viewing. Evening
free for nature walks or at leisure at the riverside resort. Overnight
Corbett.

Morning repeat jeep safari of the park for wildlife viewing
including tiger with pack lunch. Overnight Corbett. |
» DAY 08 : CORBETT/AGRA :
Early morning depart for Agra (5 hrs.). Agra, in term of the ambiance,
is still associated with its Mughal period. Evening the majority
of the buildings in the more modern areas of the town date back
over a 100 years. The Taj Mahal, which is essentially one man's
monumental testimony to love, has becomes synonymous not only with
the city but with India as a whole. Agra, with its laid - back lifestyle
and its immense wealth of architecture, handicrafts and jewellery
is amongst the most remarkable cities in the world. Arrive Agra.
Check into your hotel. Later proceed for sightseeing tour of world
famous Taj Mahal - built by emperor Shahjahan for his beloved queen
Mumtaz Mahal. Overnight at the hotel in Agra.
» DAY 09 : AGRA/BHARATPUR :
Morning tour of Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri and later drive
to Bharatpur. Check into your hotel. Overnight Bharatpur.

DAY 10 : BHARATPUR :
Full day explore Keolado Ghana Sanctuary by rickshaw /canoes to
view a variety of birds including the rare siberan cran. Overnight
Bharatpur.
» DAY 11 : BHARATPUR/RANTHAMBORE :
Morning drive to Ranthambore (5 - 6 hrs.) and check into your hotel.
Situated in south-west Rajasthan, where the Vindhayas and the Aravalli
Hills, the Ranthambore National Park is bound by the rivers Chambal,
in the south and Banas in the north. Characterised by rocky plains,
flat hill tops, gentle slopes and precipitous cliffs, covered by
the dry deciduous forests. Ranthambore is virtually an island rich
in flora and fauna in an ocean of villages, farmland and over grazed
arid land. Overnight Ranthambore.
» DAY 12 : RANTHAMBORE :
Half day park safari. The park provides a fine habitat for sambhar,
there are also a few leopards, nilgai, sloth bear, jackal, crocodile,
the occasional rare caracal & about 300 species of birds. Overnight

and evening park safari. Overnight Ranthambore.
» DAY 14 : RANTHAMBORE/JAIPUR :
After another safari early in the morning drive to Jaipur (2 1/2
hrs.). The city capital of Rajasthan. This is the only city in the
world symbolising the nine divisions of the unicerse through nine
rectangular sectors subdividing it. The Palaces and forts of yesteryears
that were witness to royal processions and splendor are now living
monuments, accepted quite naturally into the lifestyles of the people
of the Pink City. Assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel. Afternoon
proceed for city sightseeing, visiting the Maharaja's City Palace
which now houses a museum containing rare manuscripts, fine specimens
of Rajput and Mughal miniature paintings and weapons. Astronomical
Observatory - a few first accurate observatory in India - sub continent
of the 15th century. Overnight Jaipur.

DAY 15 : JAIPUR :
Morning sightseeing tour by first driving throug the Pink -
rose residential and business areas of the Pink City. Drive past
the Hawa Mahal - the Palace of Winds. Visit to Amber Fort. You ride
up to the ramp of this 11th century Bastion atop a gaily decorated
elephant. Later free for shopping, Jaipur is famous for major gems
and jewellery centre where one can find some of te finest jewellery
besides woollen carpets and cotton rugs, hand - block printed Sanganeri
and bagru cotton fabrics. Overnight at the hotel in Jaipur.
» DAY 16 : JAIPUR/WATERBANKS (DELHI)
:
Drive to Waterbanks near Delhi (3 hrs.). Waterbanks can be reached
only by boats & the place abounds with a variety of birds, deer
and flora and fauna. Check into ethnic lakefacing cottage. Evening
bonfire & bar-be-cue dinner. Overnight Waterbanks.
» DAY 17 : WATERBANKS :
Morning boat tour to explore the lake and its flora, fauna,
birds and the deer from the adjacent Aravali ranges. Later day return
trip to Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary, an hour away. Overnight Waterbanks.
» DAY 18 : DELHI : Depart for
airport (25 kms.) to board return flight. |
