Day 1 Auckland : Arrive Auckland and transfer to your
hotel. The day is at leisure to explore New Zealand's largest city.
Overnight at the hotel. • Day 2 : Auckland / Rotorua : Depart this afternoon for Rotorua. Your journey takes you through Bombay hills and into the lush Waikato pasturelands before arriving in the famous thermal center. Overnight at the hotel. • Day 3 Rotorua : Today you will visit Whakarewarewa Thermal village to see roaring geysers, boiling mud pools, Paradise Valley springs to view trout and other wildlife, and the famous Agrodome sheep show. Also included is a cruise on board the paddle steamer "The Lakeland Queen". Overnight at the hotel. • Day 4 Rotoura / Queenstown : Today you have a half day sightseeing tour to Arrowtown, famous for a rich strike of gold which brought hundreds of prospectors to the region. Explore the town with its colourful history of the goldmining days. The tour also takes you to view the famous bungy jumping, with time for you to experience the thrill for yourself ! The afternoon is free for some of the many sightseeing attractions that Queenstown has to offer. A discount voucher booklet will be provided to assist you with your choice of activities. Overnight at the hotel. • Day 6 Queenstown / Mount Cook / Christchurch : Travel through the rugged Kawarau Gorge and over the Lindis Pass to Mount Cook. Continue past Lake Tekapo and the church of the Good Shepherd and through the country towns of Fairlie and Ashburton before arriving in Christchurch. New Zealand - II • Day 1 Auckland : Arrive Auckland and transfer to your hotel. The day is at leisure to explore New Zealand's largest city. • Day 2 Auckland / Waitomo Caves / Rotorua : This morning travel south over the Bombay Hills and into the lush Waikato pasture lands on to the Waitomo Caves for a subterranean boat ride into a grotto illuminated by countless tiny glow worms. Travel over the Mamuku hills to the famous thermal center, Rotorua. • Day 3 Rotorua : Today you will visit Whakarewarewa Thermal village to see roaring geysers and boiling mud pools. Also included is a cruise on board the paddle steamer "The Lakeland Queen". • Day 4 Rotorua/ Queenstown : Transfer to the airport for your flight to Queenstown, the playground of New Zealand, a charming alpine resort. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. • Day 5 Queenstown / Milford Sound / Queenstown : Today will be the trip of a lifetime as you travel through the Fiordland National Park, on through Eglington Valley and through the Homer tunnel. Arrive at Milford Sound, where, weather permitting, you will undertake a launch excursion on the Sound. The mountains rise from the ocean floor and you may spot seals and dolphins. Later you travel back to Queensland. • Day 6 Queenstown : Today you have a half day sightseeing tour to Arrowtown, famous for a rich strike of gold which brought hundreds of prospectors to the region. The tour also take you to view the famous bungy jumping with time for you to experience the thrill for yourself. • Day 7 Queenstown/Duedin : Travel today from Queenstown via the fruit growing areas of Cromwell and Alexandra to Dunedin, "the Edinburgh of the South". • Day 8 Dunedin/Christ Church : Undertake a city sightseeing tour including Olveston and other historic buildings. You will be dropped at the Intercity Terminal for your coach connection across the Canterbury plains to the "Garden city" of Christ Church. • Day 9 Today a transfer will be provided for your departure flight.
